Ottawa | Ottawa Paramedic Services say a male teenager was stabbed and taken to hospital in critical condition in Nepean.Paramedics told Private News Ottawa the teen has suffered life-threatening injuries.
A student from Sir Guy Carleton Secondary School was taken to hospital, an Ottawa Carleton District School Board spokesperson confirmed. The school has been in contact with the student’s family and is cooperating with the police investigation, they said.
The school was put in a Shelter in Place safety mode, which means access to the school was restricted. It was released in the early afternoon. OCDSB’s statement said the serious incident happened in the 100 block of Constellation Drive in Nepean.
There is a significant police presence, a post from the force on X reads. Police tell Private News Ottawa that a call for service.Road closures may be in effect. Officers are asking people to avoid the area.
