JSW Steel Limited's profit for the fourth quarter of FY24 declined by 65% year-on-year to ₹1,299 crore. The company's consolidated net profit in the same quarter a year ago was ₹3,664 crore. JSW Steel has released its fourth quarter and annual results today i.e. on May 17.
Automobile company Mahindra & Mahindra's profit in the fourth quarter of the financial year 2023-24 increased by 31.5% year-on-year to ₹ 2,038 crore. The company had made a profit of ₹1,549 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited i.e. HAL's profit in the fourth quarter of FY 2024 increased by 52% on an annual basis to ₹ 4,308 crore. The company's consolidated net profit in the same quarter a year ago was ₹2,831 crore. HAL has released its fourth quarter and annual results today i.e. on 16th May.

The country's largest public sector bank State Bank of India has increased the interest rates on fixed deposits . SBI has increased the interest rate on FD from 46 days to 179 days from 4.75% to 5.50%. Whereas on FD from 180 days to 210 days, interest will now be 6.00% instead of 5.75%.

Multiplex chain PVR INOX's consolidated loss for fourth quarter of 2024 fell 61.15% year-on-year to ₹129.5 crore. It was ₹333.4 crore in the same quarter of the last financial year. Earlier in the last quarter the company had made a profit of ₹ 12.8 crore.
