Chandigarh District Crime Cell has arrested a woman with drugs. A case has been registered against the accused woman at Manimajra Police Station under sections of the NDPS Act. The accused woman has been identified as Asha Rani, resident of village Bindu Khera, tehsil Kichha, police station-Rudrapur, district-Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand. Police have recovered 9.96 grams of heroin from the accused.

 Shakeel Muhammad, contesting as an independent candidate from Chandigarh in the Lok Sabha elections, today withdrew his nomination papers in support of India Alliance candidate Manish Tiwari.

The place for this has not been finalized yet. But BJP sources say that this public meeting will be organized at the Rally Ground in Sector 34. Pipe line from Sector 39, Chandigarh to MES Chandimandir on dividing road sector 50/51 on Vikas Marg, Chandigarh. Due to this work, the roads leading to dividing road Sector 50/51 on Vikas Marg, Chandigarh would be closed on 17.05.2024 from 10.00 am. to 10.00 pm.
