All milestones, name plaques, and boards at all government, semi-government, educational institutions, boards corporations, non-government organisations, public and private shops, and commercial establishments, should be written in Punjabi language, said Rajesh Dhiman, Deputy Commissioner.

 Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate from Sri Anandpur Sahib, Dr. Subhash Sharma, while raising the issue of terrorism that lasted for one and a half to two decades in Punjab, has assured the people that he will take up the matter in the Parliament, mentioning about all the Hindus and Sikhs, who suffered from it and will also make earnest efforts to provide justice to the victims.

Extensive preparations are going on in the district to turn the election day June 1, 2024 in Punjab, into a festival day, as many as 50 Model Polling Stations will be set up in Ferozepur Lok Sabha-10  constituency, to make the voter experience easier.

Special Director General of Police Law and Order  Arpit Shukla has assured that the Punjab Police will leave no stone unturned to ensure free and fair elections in the state. He has appealed to the protesting people and parties to protest in a democratic manner if they wish to voice their opposition against any candidate or political party.  Shukla emphasized the importance of not taking the law into their own hands. He reiterated that, as per the order of the Hon'ble Election Commission of India, every party and candidate has the equal right to campaign for votes.

 The Punjab government has assigned a new posting to Karnail Singh, a 2005-batch IAS officer as Additional Secretary, Employment Generation, and Training. The officer has assumed the charge of the assigned post.

While addressing party workers in Punjab's Amritsar Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Admi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal launched a scathing attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party saying that they got him arrested thinking that his party would break but the opposite happened.

UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath might be visiting Punjab in the upcoming days for Lok Sabha Elections 2024. UP CM Yodi Adityanath who has already held road shows in multiple states is yet to arrive in Punjab to boost BJP's Lok Sabha Campaign 2024. On Friday, it was revealed that BJP State Unit Chief Sunil Jakhar has written a letter to UP CM and has requested him to visit the state for Lok Sabha Elections 2024 campaign in Punjab. Jalhar in his letter stated that people of Punjab highly regards his work done in the state of Uttar Pradesh, hence his visit to Punjab will boost the morale of BJP candidates in Punjab. 

The Cyber Crime Division of the Punjab Police has busted two fake Call Centres running in Mohali and arrested 155 employees of these centres for making fraudulent calls to people living in US and duping them, said Director General of Police Punjab Gaurav Yadav here on Friday.

With the Model Code of Conduct in force in Punjab for the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Punjab Chief Electoral Officer Sibin C advised citizens on Friday not to carry cash more than Rs. 50,000 without supporting documents, such as bank withdrawal receipts and receipt books for traders, while travelling in the state.

The Bharatiya Janata Party's candidate from Patiala Lok Sabha seat, Preneet Kaur, while addressing a huge public meeting in the Anand Nagar area of Patiala Rural Assembly Constituency on Thursday, said that with the power of trust given by the people, the 'daughter of Patiala', once elected would do all-round development in the district. People of Patiala will see 5 times more development in the next 5 years, she said, adding that one of the main reasons for this was whatever promises that Prime Minister Narendra Modi made to the people of India, regarding development, were fulfilled.
