ACB arrests JE working in Bijli Nigam Sonipat red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs.20,000

The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau team has arrested Junior Engineer Joginder, working in the Bijli Nigam, Sonipat, while taking a bribe of Rs 20,000. The accused had demanded a bribe from the complainant in exchange for closing the case by making a nominal amount of the damaged electric pole.

 Haryana Chief Election Officer, Anurag Agarwal, stated that candidates contesting elections must disclose their criminal records, if any, publicly. For this, candidates must provide complete information about their criminal cases along with an affidavit in Form-26. Apart from that, the relevant political party must also publish information about the candidate's criminal cases on its official website.

Haryana Chief Electoral Officer, Anurag Agarwal said that the total number of voters in Haryana in the Lok Sabha elections to be held on May 25 is 2 crore 1 lakh 87 thousand 911, including 1 crore 6 lakh 52 thousand 345 men, and 94 lakh 23 thousand 956 women voters. In addition to this, 467 transgender voters will use their franchise.
